I’m so glad to receive Annie Siu’s email yesterday about her web site re-launch. Annie is one of the most talented Floral designer I know in the bay area, both her work / design and her friendly personality impressed me so much. I got to know Annie in June & Greg’s wedding in San Francisco City Hall last year. She asked me If I could help her capture some of her beautiful flower setup shots for the event. Of Course no problem ! (even she didn’t ask me, I will do it as they are just too gorgeous). Her flowers and all the bouquet are so beautifully made and nicely decorated with attention to all details . It added so much flavor to the wedding and making the San Francisco City Hall even more magnificent !

Her website is http://www.anniesiu.com/

I’m so honored to have some of the photos I took in the wedding to be published in the very first few page in her web site gallery section.

Congratulation again to Annie’s web site re-launch .

Kerry (from essential moment) called me last week and urgent need of a 2nd photographer in his event, well, haven’t been others assistant/2nd photographer for a while , but I have no assignment so I decided to help, kinda for fun. I started in Morgan Hill, the groom’s house for some groom/groomsmen preparation and group shots, what a fun group and definitely endless energy. Then we headed San Jose for the ceremony. After the ceremony, really tight schedule and we only have around 30 mins for some quick portrait before we go back to the Hilton Hotel San Jose for reception. We finally decided to do the shot in downtown San Jose street, near the convention center and also the train station. The final images are combination of life and classic . Jennifer is such a classy bride and I particularly like her profile shot, See below some of the shots I took.

Here comes the big day of Ayesha & Matt, Matt is an engineer finishing up his PhD, and Ayesha is a lawyer. The ceremony and the reception both at UC Berkeley Faculty club in a little overcast saturday (perfect for an outdoor wedding).

It was like I’ve been knowing Ayesha & Matt for a long time, I shot their engagement portrait before, went to San Diego with them for their pre-wedding party and finally the wedding day yesterday. Ayesha & Matt had been completely trusted me in the whole process and I have so much fun working with this cute couple and their families and guests both in San Diego and San francisco. During the preparation part in Ayesha auntie’s house, one of the bridemaids said she loves my work and want to have a picture with me together, I was honestly very surprised, hehe, I have some fans !! :)

That’s what I ‘ve been always saying, wedding photography is not just about money, it is all about the connection between me and the couple. I really really really hope can seen them again in the future.

Ayesha & Matt , have a sweet honey moon in Greece and Turkey !!

Here are some wedding highlights. Look at this huge bridal party :)

Welcome to new students to my 1 on 1 digital photography class ( SF ). Today I taught a class in San Mateo at my student’s location. Very nice couple Azadeh & Eric. When I arrived their house, the snack is well prepared . We have a 3 hours beginner class at their cozy home and a park nearby, with theory and practice, very fun and informative evening, we all enjoyed it. The snack was GOOD !!!

All classes I’m organizing are personal 1-on-1 or small group at student’s location and all equipment is provided. Feel free to ask. Courses are all targeted at students’ interest and customized.

Welcome to the 1-on-1 with Chung !!

First want to thank Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto to organize this cocktail event to demonstrate their great wedding facilities/locations and I am so glad to be invited by Beverly Yip. This impressive event also allows a group of passionate photographers/ wedding coordinators / videographers to enjoy a cocktail and share a lot of information.

Fortunately I brought my little little Fuji compact camera with me and snap some quick shots to share, the picuture is little grainy, :P

Nice pool area to have a cocktail and relax

When I look at this, I just can’t wait the summer to come sooner !!

A nice wedding packages catalogue

Elegant ball room for the best wedding reception.

Believe or not, when enjoying high end restaurants and hotels, I am really interested in their restrooms. Bathroom maintenance really reflects on customer satisfaction. For attention to details, the Four Seasons hotel earns 5 out of 5.

Gorgeous court yard for wedding ceremony, with only the chairs, it looks so nice already.

Let me also take this opportunity to post 2 images I took in Four Season Palo Alto last year.
