2 weeks ago I was invited by my friend Amy Tam from Amy’s Wedding & Events to the exclusive private viewing of “The Prints of Andy Warhol” at the San Jose Museum of Art. It totally demonstrated how art inspires a unique event setting, I also met my good wedding floral designer friend Annie Siu there and got to take some good shots of her amazing flower setup for the events. Here are some pictures to share.

It was an awesome 5 days tour for me in Las Vegas. Got an opportunity to attend a 2 days workshop with one of my all time favourite Australia wedding photographer Yervant, just can’t describe the feeling…. shooting side by side with him and learned some cool photoshop skills from him. One of the reason I admire him and respect him so much is not just he is good in wedding photography, but he is also passionate about wedding photography and willing to share his knowledge and experience. Be able to learn from him for 2 days was like a dream comes true experience for me.

In this trip, I also got to know many talented photographers from all around the world , had a lot of fun. I also had a chance to see my mentors, Alisha and Brook again in the Kodak booth. They are one of the Top 10 wedding photographers in the world ~ American Photo 2007. Can’t thank this couple enough for giving me great advise in my last year photography business, Alisha and Brook made my life so much easier and I’m so blessed to have not one, but TWO top 10 wedding photographers in the world to be my mentor in my career. Here are some more photos to share for my 5 days trip.

The WPPI 2009 was held in MGM Las Vegas this year.

First want to thank Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto to organize this cocktail event to demonstrate their great wedding facilities/locations and I am so glad to be invited by Beverly Yip. This impressive event also allows a group of passionate photographers/ wedding coordinators / videographers to enjoy a cocktail and share a lot of information.

Fortunately I brought my little little Fuji compact camera with me and snap some quick shots to share, the picuture is little grainy, :P

Nice pool area to have a cocktail and relax

When I look at this, I just can’t wait the summer to come sooner !!

A nice wedding packages catalogue

Elegant ball room for the best wedding reception.

Believe or not, when enjoying high end restaurants and hotels, I am really interested in their restrooms. Bathroom maintenance really reflects on customer satisfaction. For attention to details, the Four Seasons hotel earns 5 out of 5.

Gorgeous court yard for wedding ceremony, with only the chairs, it looks so nice already.

Let me also take this opportunity to post 2 images I took in Four Season Palo Alto last year.

Friday, I was helping Annie Siu out , shooting some of her floral settings for a corporate event. Again , San Francisco City Hall. It was great to have some more opportunities to hang out with this great floral designer. As this was not a wedding event, I got some time to chat and hangout with her,so have more time to observe her and her team works, great .
